Happy Thursday, Parents/Guardians! We know that this Covid situation has been tough, and the Rotary Club wants to show their love and concern for our students and make sure that they’re nice and warm as winter approaches. So they have donated new coats for our students! If your child needs a coat, or if he/she needs one until you can get one yourself, please call the front office (255-5724) or email me (snugent@lincolnschools.org) and we will get one for your child. Thanks!

Happy Friday, Gator Family! Just a reminder that students still need masks to ride the school bus, so if your child rides to school or home on the bus, you will need to send a mask with them. Thanks for helping with this!

Tomorrow’s theme for Red Ribbon Week is “Team up against drugs and bullying!” Students may wear a team/sports shirt or jersey (school appropriate) with uniform pants, jeans, or jean shorts. (If the jersey is sleeveless, students should wear a T-shirt under it.)

Parents/Guardians, just a reminder that we have two separate car lines in the afternoon. Car Line A is first at 2:40, with pink tags, for Kindergarten students and their siblings. Car Line B is second at 2:50, with bright yellow tags, for first and second grade students. This is so that we can socially distance our students as much as possible in a very small area. We have several Car Line B parents coming early before 2:50 to get their children. We ask that Car Line B form their line by the school driveway entrance (where the buses go in) and wait there until you’re waved in at 2:50 by our deputy or administrator. This is how the process worked last year, and it worked very well. We thank you for working with us so that our students can be socially distanced and protected as much as possible.

Parents/Guardians, just a reminder about our school uniform… black pants are not permitted as part of our school uniform. All bottoms (pants, shorts, skirts) should be khaki. Also, any “Kindness” shirts or spirit shirts from past years are to be worn on Fridays only. If your child would prefer to wear a school uniform t-shirt instead of a red/black/white polo, he/she can wear that shirt any day of the week and can be purchased at https://glen-viewround2uniformsales.itemorder.com/sale . Please contact the school if you have any questions about our dress code. Thanks!

Happy Friday, Gator Family! We had a question or two about morning car line, so I wanted to send out a reminder. Morning car line runs from 6:50-7:25. After 7:25, parents should pull to the front of the school and sign students in. Students are not tardy until 7:30. Because we were getting into the routine of school and we did not have all of our car line workers (we were a man down for a couple of weeks), we delayed cutting car line off exactly at 7:25 for the first couple of weeks of school. However, the number of car riders has increased drastically this year, and many students are arriving much later, which means they miss instruction. So we are enforcing the 7:25 cut off time. There is a lag in car line between 7:05 and 7:15, so I would highly encourage you to arrive then! If you’d like your child to eat breakfast, then he/she should be inside the school by 7:20. Breakfast ends at 7:25. Also, please be aware that being in car line by 7:20 does not ensure that your child will not be tardy. Because we have so many car riders, it takes several minutes for the line to move through. Earlier is definitely better! Thank you so much for your cooperation and understanding as we work through these areas! We will continue to work hard to make sure that Glen View runs as smoothly as possible! Have a GREAT, RESTFUL weekend!
