We are going to make a small change to the dress-up days this week. On Thursday, students can wear white or red in support of the RHS Bearcats! Students will not sign each other's shirts. Instead, students will sign a banner to show their support. Go Bearcats!
Go Bearcats! GVE will be participating in the same dress-up days. Please note that all Ruston schools and Dubach will not have school on Friday to allow families to travel to New Orleans for the state championship. Reminder that there will be no school for students on Wednesday due to teachers having a Professional Development day.

Good morning, the area is temporarily without power. We do have some emergency lights on within the school. We are in communication with the city regarding a timeline for the power to be back on. We are still planning to have school today. Updates to come...
We will have our Fall Carnival on Friday, October 31, 2025. We want to invite parents/guardians to attend with their child. Due to space constraints, each student can have a maximum of TWO guests.
Students will participate in fall-themed learning activity rotations. One rotation will be concessions. Students can purchase concessions only during this rotation. Parents are welcome to bring money with them if they are attending. However, if parents are not attending, please send concession money with your student to school that day.
The Fall Carnival schedule is listed below. Doors will open promptly 10 minutes before each grade level's scheduled time.

Students can wear pink tops tomorrow in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness! Tomorrow will also be a free jeans day!

Wednesday, October 22nd is Unity Day. Unity Day is a day intended to bring awareness to kindness, acceptance, and inclusion. All students are encouraged to wear orange tops on this day. Students wearing orange can also wear jeans.
Carter Johnson is a kindergarten student at GVE who has just recently found out that he is cancer-free! We want all staff and students to wear gold/yellow shirts or red uniform tops tomorrow, October 2nd, to help celebrate Carter! Tomorrow will also be a free jeans day.
